Racing Club Warwick continued their good form with a comfortable victory with all four goals contenders for goal of the season. In windy conditions Racing took advantage first half after six minutes when Laights run past two defenders saw Bennett hit an absolute belter from 20 yards into the top right past the keeper who didn't move. Bennett then layed off for Brown but the keeper produced a fine stop. Then, almost as if it was too easy with the wind behind them Racing allowed the Pelsall striker to get away down the right , round the keeper and slot home. Straight from the off Racing almost went back in front with Brown hitting the bar and then a Morton cross say Malley head just wide. Good work out wide from Brown saw skipper Reynolds head just over before a Heyden strike from distance saw the keeper superbly tip over. The second eventually came when a super cross from Brown took out the whole back line and saw Malley firmly head in at the far post. Malley then went on a great run feeding Laight who shifted onto his left foot and fired home from 25 yards. 3-1 at half time and with the wind now against, had Racing done enough. The second half saw Racing keep the ball on the floor to combat the wind and Malley went close hitting the post. Pelsall did pull one back for a nervy ten minutes but Malley finished off the game on 85. A free kick from Laight saw the ball rebounding around before shooting up to the outside edge of the box where Malley produced a magnificent overhead kick which arrowed fifteen yards in off the far post. Racing Club move into the top half of the table and look forward to welcoming leaders Coventry United next Saturday.
